W.I.P

Currently I am experimenting with frottage, rubbing of rocks I find on the beach. To capture the trace my tactile contact with the stone I have been trying different media and making my own to enable me to transfer the rubbings to metal plates. 

I, responsibly, collect materials such as chalk and sea worn brick on site to process into pigments, resists and inks for printmaking. Currently I'm trying to develop a chalk based white ground for etching, charcoal based sugar lift and a rubbing crayon for field frottage.
