W.I.P

On the beach Lucretius's,  "How 'tis that" from in "On the Nature of Things" grabs me and I begin contemplating processes.

I make rubbings, drawing and photographs and collecting materials to make inks, pigments and resists.

Currently I am developing a chalk based white ground for etching, a charcoal based sugar lift and a rubbing crayon for making field rubbings, aiming to transfer them onto plates to etch for a new series which I may call, "Before they were Rock".

Recently instances of twisting, of vortexes and gyres have come to the fore I am fascinated by their holding of time as traces of different processes. I am working up these towards showing at this years the East London Printmakers, "Festival of Print", to be held at the Art Pavilion E3 4QY and opening on October 2nd.
